Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary
I remember my aunt told me that she wished that she had taken more photos of my cousin's "everyday" life....morning routine, after school snack, homework time, and good-night hugs and kisses. (She did take a lot of photos of him....and is one of the BEST moms). I have tried to capture some of our routine....because I, too want to remember that the ordinary really is the extraordinary. Also....some "ordinary" photos that I just thought were funny.
Neal made me coffee...mommy was happy |
lunch bags for my 2nd and 5th graders |
Daddy helping Kate with math homework...thank you dear. |
My cook in training |
Sometimes a Puffle shows up in the powder room |
Riding to school |
Showing me her new outfit |
Hugging our dogs is a daily happening |
Silly and blurry but makes me laugh |
Our weekends consist of watching this soccer player |
Sleepy kids......no they don't usually sleep in my bed....just when Dad is out of town. |
I love all your pictures! I am also very thankful for daddies who help with math. And aren't sleeping kids the sweetest? :)
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures Jen. :o) What sweet moments you will look back on and remember. :o)
ReplyDeleteYou're right all those everyday things get lost in the shuffle sometimes. Good for you. I once had a wiser older woman tell me to video ordinary times as well, and you know what...she was right. The everyday things are what you really want pictures of. I love that you took pictures of their lunchboxes.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos! And sometimes the photos that are not posed for are always the best! :)
