Worries.....
Do you ever worry about tomorrow? I know it is one of my greatest weaknesses. All it does is cause anxiety...and most of the time what we worry about.....never happens. So why does worry have a way of creeping in?
We were away over the weekend......at my daughter's soccer tournament. The conditions on so many levels caused me to worry..... thankfully.....I was able to have some down time to read and pray. I didn't think I would have much time on my own...but God created unexpected moments for me to be still.
I am preparing for a routine medical procedure tomorrow which requires a liquid diet only. As I slow down today....I am turning to one of my favorite books.....Jesus Lives. On page 122 she writes about worry....and it is just what I need for today.
I am a VISUAL person..... so images of beautiful places is what I am showing on my blog today plus one that shows a "little" of what our weekend entailed.
Memory Monday
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Hi Jennifer. :o)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are just gorgeous!
Yes, I am a worrier at times as well. It really zaps my energy, and gives me terrible stomach aches. I think each time something big happens, I run around in circles in my head, then the Lord whispers sweetly to me and reminds me that He is right there and wants to carry the load. :o) Thank goodness.
I am praying for your procedure, and a peace in your heart. :o)
Sincerely, Trish
Unfortunately, I am a worrier too. And I even though I know it is not good for our bodies, I still do it. I hope everything went well with your procedure, I will be thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteWorry and fear are my two biggest enemies. They steal life and joy and health from me. I try to take those thoughts captive (and sometimes I really do manage to defeat the worry and fear) but it's hard, diligent, CONSTANT work!
ReplyDeleteHope your procedure went well. I'm having my own "procedure" on Friday. Trying not to let my mind go to fearful places in regard to that...
I love San Clemente. I wish I was half as organized as you.
